Just wondering where you guys get all the info on an area yous are wishing to invest in. Like the info on auction clearance rates, vacancy rates etc.
If yous get it from the council website which report do you look for?

i’m more interested in the future stuff, rather than the data which is past stuff.
I like to buy in areas where new industries are starting things that will create a demand for homes and hopefully lift the price and rentals.
to find this info you need to talk to people (often locals) read newspapers and speak with economic development officers who usually know whats about to happen.

I can’t take the credit for the list , I compiled it from postes on a number of forums. It is a little bit of information overflow but there is some usefull information available.Here’s the weekly clearance rates for auctions in Australia.
