    Can anyone advise me who to contact when I have an issue with a local council that has not been resolved to my satisfaction? Is there an ombudsman, higher authority or whatever that I can go to with my complaint?

    Hi MMM,

    Try the Minister for Local Government (or equivalent) or The Local Government Supervisory Board in your state.

    The council concerned will be able to direct to you to the relevant authority.
