Hi,
I am interested in finding out a little bit more about this idea as an investment.
I have found some good info on this website when doing a search, but now want to clarify a few things.
Can anyone tell me….
It was stated that renting out more than 3 rooms in VIC becomes a “rooming house” & attracts differnt rules. Does anyone know the rules for other states?.
What type of insurance do you normally have & what is the ball park cost per annum. (I have seen widely varying amounts)
Is the Local Council the only other authority who would have rules/restrictions on how many people you rented out to singularly (or are there others).
What overheads could you possibly have in this set-up (eg lawn maintenance) I presume that the landlord would pay the electricity bill & water. Is there anything else?
Could those of you that have done this form of investing give me a little insight.
