Just thought I would do some cleansing of the soul after last night’s “grate debate” (sic).
Mr Howard mentioned that the GST was returned to the states.
Now, my most recent insurance renewal includied 10% stamp duty PLUS 10% GST for a total of 21% tax (110% x 110%)[blink]. Now the WA state govt would appear to ripping off WA us plebs here in was with a 21% tax on insurance, what a scam. [angry2] Makes stamp duty on proerty look like a boy scout picnic.[crying]
Wasn’t stamp duty meant to be done away with with the introduction of GST??? [eh]
