An asbestos task force will be established in the ACT and owners of older properties will be required to provide a statement of whether their building contains asbestos before it can be sold, under stringent new requirements passed in the Legislative Assembly yesterday.”
and this
” Under the new requirements, sellers of both private homes and commercial and government properties would have a duty to inform prospective tenants, purchasers or tradespeople working on the building, of the presence of asbestos.”
My father has asbestosis [angry2] and I urge all of you to seek the correct advice before attempting ANY renovations no matter how small where asbestos is present.
