All Topics / Heads Up! / William D Danko’s seminar
Just received two free tickets to a seminar that will teach me how to “regularly buy real estate at 55% discount” … and other marvels.
Since it is free I am naturally prone to discount it as goblygook.
Can someone tell me if this seminar is worth spending a full Saturday (8 to 5:30) in the City or should I make better use of my time?Speakers are William Danko, (co author of “The millionaire next door”) James Smith – real estate investing, Phil Town – Stock investing, Wayne Gray – Highest rates of return specialist (whatever that means)
May God prosper you always.[biggrin]
MarcSomeone on here said that John McGrath (of McGrath Real Estate, sydney, and owner of realestate.com.au) is speaking at that one too. And Marc, given you don’t value philanthropy and free things, I’d be happy to take them off your hands for you.

Wow [strum] just a minute!!!! who says I dislike philantropy!
Just want to know if it is worth my while, a whole day is a long day.
So you are saying that it is a day well spent? In that case…I have two tickets so you are welcome to come, providing you dont talk all the time during the seminar.[lmao]
May God prosper you always.[biggrin]
MarcYou guys crack me up.[thumbsup2][tongue]
have a lovely day together .[rolleyesanim][wink]
hey marc let us know how you buy property at a 55% discount[upsidedown][upsidedown][upsidedown]
regards westan
Count on it! [cigar]
I hope it does not involve gassing the owner with laughing gas and force him to sign the contract.[fear]Seriously, I think that since this are all American speakers it will have to do with the RE market in the states, where if you are in the poo with the bank, your property suddenly is worth just what you owe the bank and not what it is realy worth if you were financial on your loan.
May God prosper you always.[biggrin]
MarcMarc,
A whole day to hear about RE and get motivated?? Isn’t that what we’re looking for? People pay thousands for seminars and this one’s for free!
Marc- where did you get the tickets from? I reckon I could do with my own double pair

The ticket arrived in the post today addressed to my wife. The AMA must be selling their list of members around.
Anyway, she gets the creeps just going to the accountant once a year, so a seminar is out of the question.
I just called to the 1800 registration number on the card and they confirmed that it is $149 but free with this complementary tickets. They will probably be flogging books or other $5,000 seminars I suppose.
So you want to go?
PS
Just noticed that the letter came from UtahMay God prosper you always.[biggrin]
MarcMarc, yeah, I’ll go (Marc willing!) Can you ring the number and we can get some more tickets? Someone mentioned this the other day- advertised in the SMH or somewhere. We could make it a bit of a party Marc. Of course, it would be a party with just the two of us- but why have all the fun to ourselves when we could share it around?? hehe.

Hi there, I got 2 tickets for the seminar in the post as well. It must have been from one of the crowds I registered at one of the Property Expo events. I also saw the “free” seminar ad in the SMH and it is called “Financial Super Stars”, advertising John McGrath and William Danko as speakers. It is on Saturday 3rd July in Darling Harbour from 8am to 5.30pm. RSVP call 1 800 119 509 (ext 442). The person answering that phone said they have a website http://www.nationalrealestateinvestor.com (a US site). My friend and I have registered and going to it. There is another post in this forum on this seminar.
Hi Marc1, et al,
The only reason I would go is probably because it’s free and you can exercise some due diligence ‘muscles’. The main reason I would go however would be to listen to Danko, or even meet him to have a chat about his research methodology and statistical analysis on the book he co-authored. I think it gave a great insight on how the ‘rich’ live that a lot of people would be astonished at. It gave a great birds eye view on reality vs fanatsy.
Cheers,
Gatsby.
