    MOTOR
    Atomic
    Money
    Hardware Magazine ( Malaysia )
    and
    SPACE by James A. Michener

The book has been very good, although at times a little hard going with all the technical details involved in putting man into space and beyond [blink]

    What about yourself?

Right now, everything I can find on property investing.

For fiction, Gene Wolfe’s “Fifth Head of Cerberus”. He’s a great writer, if you like SF/F and don’t mind thinking a bit.

Myydral – I read a lot of Michener some years ago. My favourites would be The Source, The Covenant, Chesapeake, and Centennial, but a lot of them were pretty good.

“Heaven Knows What” by Llewellyn an interesting read for spot on Horoscope castings!!

And I am a skeptic but I’ve always loved this book and I just got a new copy in the mail (had lost the last one for 5 years).

Good break from normal non-fiction finance reads!

On a recent trip to Malaysia, I picked up the biographies of Li Ka Shing (Hong Kong’s richest man), and Lim Goh-Tong (founder of Genting Highlands Group). Both are self-made billionaires with property development underpinning their achievements.

On dropping into Borders Bookstore, I skim read through “The Rape of Nanking” – one of the worst wartime atrocities to rivals the Holocaust. Depressing what evil humans are capable of.

On a turtle’s pace, dropping by the Vic State Library on my lunchtimes for “The Trumps” – 3 generations of property moguls to learn from.

Oh…and the public library in Flinders St, Melbourne opens tomorrow…for the knowledge hungry.

Just finished the DaVinci Code. It was a good read.

Now going to start the latest Grisham book. I got em both for me birthday a few months ago.

As for property books. I have read many – between 20-30. All Somers, one Lomas, Jenman and about 10 from the US.

Still browse API each edition. I almost feel I have read it all. Nothing much surprises me nowadays when it comes to property. But you never stop learning.

Aside from a swag of performance management agreements, systemic strategic plans and some critical reading of job applications for colleagues I am also trying to get my head around Quicken 2004 Personal Plus User Guide – courtesy of ‘Money Mag’ recent competition.

Estate Agents Act 1980 Extract for Victoria – Incorporating amendments up to 1 February 2004.

Reading and refering to bits relevent to the course questions, 145 pages. It’s difficut to read and understand because it gets complicated in the law.

But there is overview notes that come with the course material, in layman’s terms! So thats a bit easier to refer to and answer the questions in the assignment(s).

Apart from that, a book on culture on the Murray and a bit about Taurism.

I don’t get enough time to read. I wish I could download a book and plug it in and listen to it for two hours before going to bed. Or headset while working would be good as well!
