And WHERE are median prices for NSW, Victoria and Wld in this month’s API???? Did just mine miss out on some pages? Or has everybody’s API not got the median price change of these states? API comes out monthly now (yay) but is missing al this essential info????
I hate to use this smiley- because it is a growly, but here goes [angry2].

I’ve bought a few copies in the past.. they usually leave Adelaide out.. they mainly cover NSW, QLD, VIC and WA. [hmm] It’s a bit of a let down when the cover advertises property prices ‘across the country’. [grrr]
Wonder if were missing out on this bit because of the property slump… food for thought anyway (good times always means increased sales, so they could try to keep bad news at a minimum).
Rgds.
Lucifer_auMaybe it missed the publishers deadline!!!!
For Vic dont they ususally print the reiv stuff?
Hmmm The one copy i have, they don’t have WA ?
Maybe they take it in turns..so you buy the next issue Kay [biggrin]

Count The Currency With This Online Positive Cashflow CalculatorHi Kay,
I skimmed API last night and noticed most (all?) of the statistics provided related to rental rates. I vaguely remember there were periods in API’s past when they alternated sales and rental stats – I contend this month’s focus was ‘rental’
As an aside monthly real estate figures typically don’t move a lot anyway so are they worth it?

If the magazine is published monthly, and the stats come out quarterly, then they can’t really publish new data every time. So maybe this month their deadline was too early for the new stats.
Check next month!Keep smiling
FelicityAgree with Felicity, but I think Your Mortgage magazine lists property sales in every state every month (even Canberra – yaaaaaaayyy![biggrin]) Although I don’t know how ‘telling’ it is – apparently Paddington went up something like 29% this year already – I wish[biggrin]
Cheers
MelI dont think they include the northern territory stats either.

I noticed the same also. Heaps of stats on rental mediums but not on house/unit values?
Cheers,
Gatsby.hi all
i bought this months API also but i think its extremely inaccurate
i have quite a few properties and they have all been evaluated by REA and they all come to the same agreement.
dont you agree that most median prices of rent are overinflated?
especially for country and suburban areas
rent yields hasnt increased that much but i think those figures are in flated 10-50 dollars/week
or am i just undercutting my yields
cheers
