All Topics / Finance / Looking for someone to join forces
Hi my name is steve love. Im very interested in the positive cashflow idea as a way to financial freedom. Ive just finished reading the book that steve wrote 0-130 property’s in 3.5 years. Now that I have the knowledge im looking for a partner in crime to excelerate the process and lets face it two heads are better then one. Even better still if a group of people would like to get together who are at the beginning stage and would like to exchange ideas and maybe pool money together to achieve the goal. This an idea anyway and if there is anyone at all interested please reply and lets see if we can get something happening. Cheers stevestephen love
Hi Steve,
It is one thing to share ideas and network but it is a competely different matter to pool money.
Correct structures and ‘legal advice’ is required so things do not go ‘sour’ and if they do the interests of all parties is protected as much as is humanly possible.

yes I understand that there must be a lot of issuses that would have to be addressed but im sure the positives of joining forces and pooling money would definitly outway any the processes of putting a group togther to invest in that way.

I have a reasonable amount of experience in joint venture partnerships, fund raising, investment, etc.
It would appear that your objective is to find finance partners.
However, it would also appear – based solely on your original post, that your experience in real estate investment is limited to the knowledge you have gained from reading one book – correct me if this is incorrect.
The key to securing finance is the ability to demonstrate “experience” and “knowledge”, not only in real estate transactions but also the legal issues that arise during this process.
If your knowledge in real estate is as limited as you have indicated, then it would be advisable to gain further knowledge and/or conduct a couple of deals yourself. Then you are in a better position to accelerate the process.
If you decide to proceed anyway, then as noted in an earlier post, make sure you first speak with a “qualified” lawyer and accountant – do not try and save money on professional advice when structuring a partnership.

Welcome Steve
I have to agree with Michael here and say that you will probably find it difficult to raise funds for projects without a track record and the necessary experience.
I would recommend looking for a mentor instead to learn the ropes first, and if you can find one you can trust there will be deals there for you to do.
I am also here in Brisbane and if you do a few searches you will find some interesting investment groups around to network with.Seems like there are a few people on this forum from Brisvegas, so is there a PI.com meeting group?
Good Luck!
