    My father advises he has sold his long held “beach” house in NSW and is being asked to pay land tax back dated to 2000. Is there anyway that he can avoid or reduce paying this tax?

    No there isn’t.

    You’ll be lucky if your Dad doesn’t get fined for being 4 years behind in paying his taxes!
