Aaaaww Mimi (or should I have said eeeeww), why be so harsh? All Kay did was give a suggestion.
No matter whether you feel you are ‘winning’ or ‘losing’ a debate or fight, it’s never a good thing to be hurtful. Otherwise an innocent thread will turn into a battlefield.
It’s a good thing to have some regard for someone else’s feelings.this tennis match has been great to watch ladies. Im sure lots of people are being scared to voice their opinions as I speak.
What was the original question??
DD
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff!!
DD, that’s possible. But people have exptressed opinions after that discussion occurred. I think they made their voices pretty clear.

Hi y’all,
Not to get off topic but, I heard on Melbourne Radio that Pre-Nuptial Agreement are an american idea, and that such agreements have no influence on family court distribution of assetts.[dead2]

LifeX,
There is a topic on this somewhereon this Forum. Look it up in the search engine :o) I posted some links for the legal situation of Australians in this regard.

Celivia,
Kay isn’t hurt. see?
*checks for pulse*
Anyway, CPR has come a long way ….stem cell therapy is showing promise…she’ll be fine, i’m sure….
Kay was just against me being against something.
Huh!She is probably still smarting from the time I exposed that shameful extortionist posing as ‘guru to the feeble-minded’.
I call it as i see it, always have done, and if I can protect some poor newbie buying in broken hill ‘because it’s CF+ve’ and kay’s feelings got hurt in the process, it’s her own fault, because she was the goose that led them there when she didn’t even think it was a good idea herself – hence the accusations of time-wasting, especially when she got into the psychobabble.
that’s it in a nutshell.
Kay, when your hip replacement has healed, call me when you’re up for another game of tennis?
cheers-

joy to the world
Actually Mini, I wasn’t here around the times of the BillfromOz thing- i was on a conference in Qld, and came back to see heaps of posts deleted and people gone. I have no issue with people expressing their opinions. I am opposed to name-calling. You calling me a “goose” is unnecessary. I have no idea what “psychobabble” you are referring to.
Anyway, Mini- i am sure other members of the forum would prefer to see issues discussed instead of two members having this kind of personal conflict.

Try private property sales. The best site I have found is http://www.propertysavers.com.au
Isn’t BHP due to close its last mine and end all its activities in Broken Hill sometime during 2006? I am not sure of that date – but none the less this should be of concern to anyone who is considering a purchase here…
Might just have a small impact on employment levels!
Cheers,
GregAt it’s peak the mines in Broken Hill employed about 9000 workers. The last Perilya mine is now down to 480 but guess what, the town’s still going. Hasn’t disappeared as one would think with all those jobs gone.
Still 22,000 people there approx., a decline of about 2000 over the last few years so yes some leave with the work but tourism is rapidly providing a new source of income. If it can entirely replace the economic benefit of all those workers I don’t know.
Bemax is opening a new processing plant in BH for its minerals sands projects at Menindee.
The grey nomad phenomenon also benefits Broken Hill, (you should see the Winnebagos!) just like lots of other places like Dubbo, another town on a transit route.
Lots of grey nomads on the Sydney-Adelaide run, the Melbourne – Port Augusta – Alice Springs run and the Queensland-Adelaide run. And about 400 semis a day on the Sydney- Adelaide-Perth run.
The Hill is also a regional headquarters for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Whether if it will be enough, or if some new dollars will emerge depends on whether if the Council or some other enterpising outfit tries to develop the town’s brand and tourism potential. It really is a unique place that could be marketed as the Outback on our doorstep.
It’s also central geographically to Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne/Adelaide and the Alice so maybe it could leverage that advantage. Some smart cookie could turn it into Australia’s Las Vegas if you think aobut it……
Cheers
skippygirlTo find these regions, one must thoroughly research. If comprehensive property reports were available, how much would people be prepared to pay for them?
