Dual occupancies in Canberra

I’m interested in people’s views on this.

I have a builder/architect friend who I could partner in building a second home on a large property with one home and dual occupancy potential.

What are the pros & cons? Has anyone looked into this seriously? Is it a worthwhile property investment stratgey or am I better off trying wraps?
