    Hi all,
I purchased a property which finally settled last month – 2 weeks later than my solicitor was supposed to settle. I can’t believe the incompentancy of some people and it cost me $1600.00 for the pleasure. It has left a sour taste in my mouth and today I put an offer in on another NSW property. Has anyone done their own conveyancing using one of the online firms, ie Legalmart. I feel that if I do it myself at least I might have a bit more control and at least know what’s happening. Any advice would be much appreciated.

DIY settlements are great if things all go smoothly. I belive the real trouble starts when things turn sour and before you know it you are in over your head.
