    Hi all,

Caught this article in this mornings ‘Age’ – wonder how many people bought the 10K unit on credit card or home equity.

    http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/04/12/1081621893313.html

Seems the desire for gadgets is still alive and kicking.

Some people I work with, and other friends have these and other similar gadgets, yet complain they can’t get into the housing market.
If only they could hear themsleves.

Btw, no plasma screen for me, yet.

    hi guys,
I’ve heard that the plasma TVs have tiny “globes” or something similar in them. If one breaks you are up for a hefty price to replace it….and there are thousands of them!
Anyone else heard this about the plasmas?
    Cheers,

There like thousands of fibre optic cables facing you, when one burns out you end up with a spot (similar to one pixle) you can live with.

The trouble is when a few start to go its like a hard night on the booze!

If you are going to spend those kinds of bucks then go for LCD or Digital Projector, far more reliable and far less expensive….[blink] (actually a good LCD is more $ than plasma)

Go ebay if you want toys not HN
