Many will have seen the feathers fly between Richmond and myself during the past few weeks.
As part of the making up process I have just received an email from Richmond inviting me to attend a live recording of his news program.
It comes by courtesy of Channel 9 and comes together with an all expenses paid for weekend trip for two to Melbourne during the third week of this month.
Unfortunately I will be away overseas during that time and I would therefore like to offer this windfall to another person (I guess preferably an interstate person considering that Channel 9 picks up the bill anyway).
May I suggest that you email Richmond and tell him that you would like to take Pisces’ place.
I have already told him that I am unable to attend and that I will be writing a post in which I will be suggesting that anyone who is interested in taking over my place contact him today.
To keep things fair I understand that he will put the names of all the people who contact him today regarding this post into a hat and tonight will conduct an informal lottery to select the person who together with a partner can take my place.
I understand that Richmond as part of that weekend is also planning a dinner together with Steve McKnight and his wife one night of that particular weekend.

Who knows, perhaps the reason you didn’t apply is because you live in South Australia and may be afraight of flying. [wink]
On the other hand you may well have been one of the applicants and now feels a little bit embarrassed about it all. Why would you otherwise
go to the extent of making an effort to say : “No, I didn’t fall for it’ ?Because of Richmond’s journalistic integrity it may well remain a secret between you and Richmond forever.
Who knows how many people may have been tempted to apply but for one reason or another decided not to. Chan for example may have felt too embarrassed to share a dinner table with Richmond after his (Chan’s) outburst. [laughing]
