    Hi,
    Does anyone know any good sites to look on the internet to research specific towns or areas?

    Domain has an excellent suburb snapshot, which I use most of the time.

    Any other ideas?

    Try the local council website. Information provided varies, but worth a go

    You can pay for information at HomePrice Guide (www.realestate.com.au) for information at each specific post code.

    Best way to research for town info is to use http://www.google.com.au search engine and type in the suburb name.

    Does anyone use Residex for research or can anyone tell me if it is worth paying for the reports? are they worthwhile? [blush2]

    I have found OESR for Queensland based research, good stats.

    Sometimes I find in hard to find out rental info especially in rural areas. Is calling/emailing agents the best way to go? (Most of the time you cannot trust anything that comes out of their mouths especially now!)
