Summo. Out from the cold you come with “forum spam”. At least something is happening in Adelaide, I suppose.

Admin, I am the organiser of the Adelaide Real Estate Investors Group. We are trying to get the numbers to enable this seminar to get under way. Can you advise me of the best way to let people on the forum know, so we can achieve our aim bearing in mind if numbers aren’t forthcoming by tomorrow it will be cancelled? Regards Ray Summerton

Hey Rubberchook, instead of snide comments, why dont you do something constructive like making a suggestion or two about how to make a post to let people know about a good educational seminar with low costs & high value. That way we can all learn something. Why dont you come to the seminar? You seem to have a lot of knowledge about Adelaide, I suppose!

Given that this Forum is described as:

    Heads Up!
Wanted! Posts about websites, books, courses, and any upcoming print, radio or TV matters of interest.

… then I think summo’s post was legitimate. I thought there was only supposed to be no advertising of properties.

    HI all,

Having attended Steve’s course in the past I can highly recommend it. He is a growth focussed investor and has a number of key strategies to assist with property selection. He advocates property as the core asset in your investment portfolio and he has a share fund he encourages investors to use as a means of balancing out their portfolio.

Steve has a very eloquent and well researched explanation of why growth is more important than income – just as Steve Mc can lucidly argue the contrary. For thos of you who have disregarded a growth focus I suggest it would be $180 well spent.

My only concern would be what has happened to the second day – what’s missing from the 2 day coourse I did in August?

Enjoy the course Summo – and I hope you get a good turn up.

    Derek

Hi Derek, I too did a two day Steve Navra course last year which was very informative & thought provoking with a diiferent slant on RE investing & indeed investing in general. He focused on your investment dollar being used six different ways to maximise growth. He also concentrates on the use of cash bonds to allow the use of achieved equity to increase debt service ratio (accepted as income by the Banks).
I will advise after the seminar my interpretation of comparisons between two day & one day seminars.

Kay Henry, thanks for your backup, I believe what you said to be correct. If forums are not to inform people of alternative ways of investing then I think they are doing their members a disservice
    Regards Summo

Sorry for the offence, Summo. I didn’t realise that your course was “low cost and high value”. That makes all the difference.

Before you start feeling all victimised, you will recall that you posted at least three versions of your original solicitation in the space of a few minutes on multiple forums. Forum spam.

It doesn’t belong in all, and you could have spared the low cost, high value editorial.

Rubberchook, if you cant say something constructive, why bother. Have you done the Navra seminar? Can you talk from experience? If so give your appraisal of it, so we can all learn from your opinion. If not, then the low cost, high value WILL make all the difference to you when you book, I suppose.

Having not read the original posts, its hard for me to comment, however I have to agree with Kay, I thought this was an area where we can inform other forum members of up coming events?

I believe Ray is doing a good job getting things started in Adelaide, as we do seem to miss out on alot of seminars coming to Adelaide, and Ray is one person pushing for them to come, and if it means he has to get the numbers up then so be it.

Ray is a doer and like in most areas doers get jumped on, however sometimes there is a fine line b/w advertising and notifying.

Keep up the good work Ray, possibly in future use the forum for informing of seminars.

Maybe admin can clarify this further?

    Regards Bear
