    Hi Georgisj,

    Hmmmmm – interesting.

In my mind I had thought we may have had another rise – that will definitely happen the moment the USA bank lifts their rates – we will follow at the next available moment.

Alan Greenspan has mentioned in his comments recently, that the low interest rates in the US will seemingly be in place for a little while longer.

As an aside, the Bank of Canada have reduced their rates by 0.25%, to 2.25%.

… did see that news article, too this morning, that America, is looking at holding there interest rates down, for a further time more…

    Hey Georgisj,

did you watch the Sunrise Morning News, they had a few good minutes about the American Interest rate and market… though it does look positive that the Australian $$$ can still go up further more, though, a little disappointed in the drop over night.

    Cheers,
    sis

People 4get that by saving just $3 a day & investing it sensibly
over a working life, you’ll end up with around $1 million

From a purely selfish point of view, happy for the AUD to increase. Pushes inflation lower and increases pressure on RBA to not increase rates.

Last night was just the normal machinations of the FOREX market. I think there is still room for it to appreciate further.
