    Hi again,

For 3-yr fixed rate loans, has anyone seen better than 6.8% with no application fee, no monthly usage fee and LMI waived up to 90% LVR?

If so, please direct me in the general direction of whoever is offering it.

    Regards,
    Steve.

    Which lender is that Steve?

I can do 6.79% but there is a $600 application fee. I guess the difference comes down to the loan amount whether this small rate difference is worth it.

Yes, 6.79% is the lowest that I know of.

Thanks for the replies Stuart and Simon.

It’s at NAB… Benefits of being an employee [:p]

As an employee at NAB, you get no app fees, no usage fees, LMI waived up to 90% LVR (if you are on my pay level or higher), and I think around 0.15% off all home loans except I/O.

The reasons I chose this loan to ask about is it seems to fit my circumstances, and it seems to be one of the few that NAB is competitive with already (comparing to other banks, anyway).

    Thanks again for your help!
    Steve.

    Hi Steve,

ANZ are doing a ‘Breakfree’ package which you might like to look into. It’s for a variable rate… not fixed, and has several conditions applied, but if the conditions fit you get to save on all acc fees, credit card fees, application fees, get get insurance rates (similar to bank employees) and they’ll knock 0.5% off the 7.07% (currently) rate, down to 6.57%.
This does have a yearly fee, but is available to cover 5 properties under the one fee, and give limited free valuations. You might find it worth looking into… tel. 131314 and select the options for a new loan

    Happy Hunting,

Or check out the choice package if you want to stay with the NAB!

    Simon,

Choice package is good, but has some stuff in it i dont need at this stage.

I have a feeling that I can even get some employee concessions off the choice package too [8D] I heard of a colleague who went the choice package and got a .15% discount also.

    Thanks for your help!
    Steve.
