I’m a 2nd investment property buyer considering a buyers agent. Does anyone have any pros and cons for the idea?

Also is it true that Buyers agents get prior listed property bargins. I was informed that agents will approach buyers agents first if the owner chooses to test the market first and not pay for marketing and advertising of the property.

I have used a buers agent in the past. They can save you a lot of work, but you have to pay for the privilage of course.

An agent will do anything possible to sell a proeprty quick, and that would probably include letting any buyers agents that they know about the property as soon as listed. (They would also probably lie to their own grandmothers if they were in the market for a house.)

    Terry,
What did you pay for the privelage? Was it worthwhile?

I think the privaledge is base on the purchase price ie. 1-2%
