I was under the impression that AMEX cards do not affect your borrowing capacity in any way. Advice I was told recently was that this was not the case. I actually have a corprate charge card.
Are there any borrowing implications at all?

my understanding is the same as your james – same applies to other charge cards – eg, diners.

Only cards that have an actual credit limit will affect you borrowing capicity
Since most Amex and Dinner have unlimited credit limits they can not calculate a service ability for them
3% of Inifinity = ???????
If its got a limit it get counted, if it does not it does’t get counted in loan serviceabilty
