investing in Indonesia

Hi,
Has anyone had any luck (bad or good) with investing in Indonesia or similar location? A thought was investing in holiday rentals in a resort?!

Hi Steve,
I’m off to Fiji in a few weeks – YAY!!!!!
I will definately be looking around when I’m there.
I’ve heard there are some great deals there.
Tax deductible trip every year sounds good too!

steve – if you can get a hold of last weekends financial review they had an entire segment on property investing in bali….
aparently its gone through the roof in recent months

All I can say is. BE CAREFUL, DO YOUR HOMEWORK….
It used to be that Foreigners could not own a property there, unless jointly with a local.. This may have changed…..
Bali is still suffering the effects of the bombing, so, be wary on any renter figures you are provided…… check everything out for yourself…
