All Topics / General Property / EZ-Rent news!
Hi all
Its been a while since I last visited the forums but I have some updated EZ-Rent news to share with you.
EZ-Rent version 2 is on the way, with a host of new features that many users requested including:
– support for multiple properties
– improved depreciation with the ability to add custom items and adjust effective life
– More detailed reportingAll the whle keeping it as simple and easy to use as possible.
I expect it to be ready in late March or early April, after a beta test period.
At the end of last year I had actually stopped all development on EZ-Rent, purely due to the fact that being a free program I had limited time to devote to it. But thanks to Nicholas Gruen and the gang at Peach Home Loans (http://www.peachhomeloans.com.au), EZ-Rent now has a sponsor!. Nicholas liked the philosophy behind EZ-Rent, and offered to fund development of version 2. As a result, I have been hard at work on this new version. Best of all, thanks to Peach, the program remains free of charge
Now, as I said before I expect to be complete by late March. But I need help in a couple of areas to get the program out there quicker.
1. Beta testers. I probably need 5 people initially, preferably users of the current version, to test and identify any bugs. The first beta will probably be ready be this weekend or early next week.
2. Author! I am hoping someone would volunteer to help write a comprehensive help file for the program, aimed at the novice investor.
3. Verifier! Although EZ-Rent is purely a simulator and should not be used as the sole basis for expensive investment decisions, I still want to ensure that all of the calculations comply with current taxation law. CPA anyone? So, would you like to help? If so, simply visit the website http://www.ez-rent.com and leave me a message via the contact form.
thanks and regards
