My name’s James and I’m interested in kick-starting my REI career by starting out as a bird-dog. I’ve chosen to do this because currently I lack the cash to begin investing and I would like to have some experience b4 I begin. However, I do have some question regarding bird-dogs:
1. How in-depth does my analysis of property have to be? Is it as simple as grabbing as many pro forma’s and calculating whether the property may be positively geared or do I have to get the nitty-gritty numbers?
2. I did a small search on the web and I found out that fees are usually about $500US. So would that be about $600AU?
3. Are there certain legal implications of things I can and cannot do?

when we want a birddog, we would pay on a case by case basis, depending on what info you could provide.
The more the better of course.
Any investor will pay you well if you can collect the info required.
It’s in our best interests to look after you!
