I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad and it changed my way of thinking.
Having said that, I also attended his seminar in Brisbane late last year and was very disappointed. Everything he said was a scaled down version of what I already knew from his books. He doesn’t give you much in the way of real advice but is big on making you think like an investor which is also important but from your previous posts I’d say you’re already there.

I think the same way as you. I read his books and this was the beginning of the change in my thinking. I did think he was the guru however the bad press has really irked me off. However I credit him with trying to change the way people think. He did it for me. But I would not go to any of his seminars now.
yep ….. it basically points out that the system (particularly schooling) sets people up to be excellent industry fodder. The only way out is to start thinking for yourself and applying it. In a capatilist society the only out is financial freedomindependence. I think Steve is doing a great job to helping people achieve this freedom in a way that has benefits for all parties (ie not doing in a way that is unfair to others).
Dale Carnegie: How to win friends and Influence people (to your way of thinking) roughly $29.95
I remember reading this book, still have a copy of it, i swear i must have only been about 10 years old… when my old man forced me to read this book, out of everything, i was forced to read this book in particular when i was younger… didnt know why back then…. but i do know why today….
Funny the way these dudes tell you how crap it was the way you were socialised to think and then they tell you there is another way… to think just like them!
When I met a few of the lovely sydney lads, one of the things I enjoyed about it was that they were all so different from each other- I really like that in people. We don´t all wanna be Stepford wives, do we? Why lose your own uniqueness and sound like a copy of someone else?

Chan, I think you would want to keep your ‘uniqueness’. You don’t actually lose it by copying someone’s ideas to make money. Money isn’t all there is to life. If we were all the same it would be pretty boring.

just want to add to my opinion:
Because without money you will be on the street looking into rubbish bins for food.
Where as With money you can buy whatever you want and go wherever you like,
working whenever you want, enjoy life with whoever you want (may be…not all).
