I suggest it came from a third party who has both addresses as suggested.
Someone using my address is sending them too, they also have the PI address in their address book. I know because as I am the “originator” I am getting all the rejected mail.

Not suggesting that you sent it at all… just clarifying that I seriously doubt that the source was from us.
Although, with the number of e-mails we get a day, approx 30 or 40 of them are advice from our virus protection software that so-and-so sent a virus and it has been removed.
Welcome back Bill… It’s been kind of quiet without you around !! [:p]

Simon, i’ve had the same thing happen to me. Not sure what the hell is going on, at the moment i simply don’t open any emails if i don’t know the sender…
Cheers,
Paul…
“I want to be rich, and stupidly happy – so far i’ve only managed to achieve the stupid part…”
Emails are fine to open, just don’t open the attachments. I get them from people I know (with out them sending them) so just be weary about what attachment u open. IF there is nothing on the email or even something about a binary, or something that makes no sence to u at all, JUST DONT OPEN THE ATTATCHMENT.
I recieved this from bigpond today hopefully it helps every one reconise the virus’s
There are a number of potent viruses currently circulating the internet and we’d like to advise you about how to protect yourself in advance or remove the virus if you have already been infected.
The MyDoom or Norvarg virus may appear in emails headed “Hi”, “Hello”, “Error”, “Status”, “Server Report”, “Mail Transaction Failed”, “Failed Delivery System” or infect via share sites like music download site Kazaa.
A newer variant of this virus – MyDoom-B – is also circulating. It arrives as an e-mail attachment that sends itself out to other addresses if opened, and may allow unauthorised access to computers.
After this it just goes on to try to sell bigpond products for added security.
Welcome back bill, though you didnt tell us you were coming back!! the virus thing, that would explain why my computer has been acting funny, thank goodnes for firewalls.
good to have you back bill…
shaun
I would agree when it comes to dial up, i did some checking with people on BB b4 i got it with bigpond , and they were all happy and thus far touch wood, im happy with it also []
I’m happy with Bigpond also. The second part of the email that Bear posted is a link to a site where you can download a tool called stinger to see if you have any viruses, and it will eradicate them. I downloaded it on my sisters computer and ran it, to discover that she had the Bugbear virus, AND a couple of Trojans.
I posted the links in response to Leigh K’s post ‘Virus Alert’ in one of the other forums. I think the ‘Heads Up’.
