And a hearty welcome back from me too Bill. As to why he has come back, I can guess that he was very very hurt by a lot of what went on but has been reading the boards and knows that things are now a lot nicer and those that were hurtful have either vanished or the hurt has diminished to a level that Bill feels comfortable with sharing his knowledge knowing that his opinion is welcome by almost all.
If I knew then what I know now……….you know how it goes

Why? No reason at all really.
First chance I’ve had to get back yo you and say hello. I was prompted by an unusual email I received…
It said that a virus had been found on an email that I sent to Steve… I’ve had similar before but not one that I recognised. Can someone explain how the connection between myself and Pi.com can be established for what I assume is junk mail?
Because I did not send an email to Steve or anyone at PI.com… not for a good couple of months anyway.Cheers

Hi Folks
It is a virus called MyDoom. It gets into your emails and spoofs itself to send messages using or guessing the names of people in your email system.

I have received 3 emails in the last 24 hours with this virus and fortunately have good virus software.

Hi Leigh is right…
Bill it is likely that you have my e-mail address stored in one of your e-mail boxes, in a contact list or something similar.
Or alternatively, someone who has your e-mail address also has my e-mail address and the virus added the two together and tried to replicate itself via e-mail that way.
We are very anal in our office about being vigilent with viruses, so rest assured, it did not come to you via an infection at our end.
