Don’t forget it was a bunch of scrubbers from NZ who beat the GREAT Australian Netball team earlier this year.
Still to win any type of ball game you need the ball and the All Blacks were starved of ball.
Don’t forget the Aussies were beaten by 50 pts earlier this year. Obviously they learnt from that match.
The All Blacks still have the Tri Nations and the Bledisloe Cups though.
I hope the Aussies will win the final. I met George Gregan few years ago at a social function organised by the Computer Associates. There was half a team there. Unlike the others, tall & big he is much smaller and such a nice person. We walked to the carpark together I asked him “what’s your name?”. He may still remember me because I may be the only person in his entire brilliant career asking that question! When I came home my children gave me a hard time for not collecting his signature! []
I believe I predicted England in the final before the first ball was kicked! Well, I would also predict an Aussie bashing on your own turf, and that is going to hurt, just like it felt on the other side of the pond in ’91!
I’m sure it will be a close game, but with Jonny the odds are stacked against you. Any penalty within 50m of the post and you give us three points.
As an England supporter I would just like to thank Autralia for making it one of the best finals ever. This will be remember for a long time to come. Good on you Aussies! Hopefully in 4 years time these teams will once again meet in the final.
What a fantastic game to be at. 60% yellow, 40% white supporters. Flatley is a true unsung hero. What a pity I have to spend my working day with 75% of the office from the UK.
