Only posting it because i’ve seen the name mentioned here and some may be interested.
The other thing i noted was the fact that Australias Jobless rate hit a 14yr low.
And in todays paper:
AUSTRALIA’S big four banks are pocketing $1.2 million in profits every hour – and yesterday they cried poor by claiming borrowers were benefiting at their expense.
The extent of the banking boom was revealed when National Australia Bank posted a record $4 billion annual profit – the second biggest ever recorded by an Australian company after Telstra.
The result took the combined earnings of NAB, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ and Westpac to more than $10.5 billion in 2002-03, or $553 for every person in the country.
