Agent’s fees

Hi there,

I’m curious to find out what sort of fees agents get when they successfully auction-off or privately sale a property for a client of theirs. Is there an auction fee associated even when a property is not passed-in on auction day? I am curious to find out as I hope I could use the info to place myself in a better position when trying to negotiate for a prop. which I am keen on pursuing prior to auction day. My argument couuld then go something along the lines “Because you sell prior to auction, the owner will save $$$…”
