    Hi guys!

I’m new to the market here in Australia (from UK) and want to start first renovation project soon. I know nothing about taxes here. Should I set up as a company or just work, with my wife, as an individual? Also, do suppliers offer “trade” prices on supplies for the renovation, i.e. paint, tiles, gardening supplies etc?

    Thanks[:)]

    Hi molkenr

As a fellow Pom (although I have been here for 12 years) would be happy to help.

Probuild Industries of which I am a Director specialise in small to medium residential / commercial development projects.

If you want to email me a list of the areas of supply that you are after I can try and give you some names of suppliers. I am presuming that you are not in sunny qld but if you are happy for you to piggy back our trade prices.

    Cheers Richard

Thanks for quick response. We are looking at the Perth, WA market, in the Northern Suburbs.

    Cheers

hi there molkenr, im also in northern suburbs of perth (mindare). You can go to bunnings and get an owner/builders card wich entitles you to a 10% discout i think. I also hold accounts with quite a lot of suppliers so feel free to give me a call on my mobile phone number. just email me if you would like to get my number
