OK here we go! The count down has begun and little over and hour the Wallabies will be kicking off against the Puma’s.
The next 6 weeks or so will culminate in England lifting the Webb Ellis Cup! But who will England be beating in the final, that’s the question? Any guesses?
As a famous cartoon character once said – ” you are a sad sorry little man aren’t you”
England and the All Blacks are the favourites – just the way we Aussies like it………….[][]
Tim Henman was supposed to win Wimbeldon this year, The English were supposed to be competitive on the ashes tour, The English were supposed to do well in the soccer world cup so I suppose we’ll see how this one plays out…..[]
Truly just joking – I’m looking forward to some sensational rugby. We’ve got tickets to AUST v IRELAND – can’t wait
At last I’ve found another forumite who agrees with me that the All Blacks will win.(even if he is another Kiwi)
The All Blacks by 45 pts against Italy. Actually it was by 63pts.
The Poms eventually later in the tournament won’t know which way the ball will go because they are all too old and thus on the hard and fast Aussie grounds will get TOO tired too quickly.
A bit like the Roosters.
OK, that’s the pool games out of the way, now the fun begins.
Aussies don’t look that impressive, and New Zealand were pushed hard by Wales. South Africa have put out their stall as have France. But you still have to fancy England to go all the way this time!
For my money, it’s still out of the top three pre tournament favourites, New Zealand, England, and Australia, and as much as I hate to say it, in that order. These three will win on the weekend. (NZ v SA, Eng v Wales, and Aus v Scots)
France and Ireland is the other game. For my money, Ireland to make the QF. I’ve watched their past two matches, and they look pretty good to me. The result against Australia was no fluke, and they deserved to beat Argentina.
That leaves Oz v NZ and Pommies v Paddies in the semis.
Still hard to see it not being a Kiwi v Pommie GF. The Kiwi’s definately seem to have the better form, even after the “close” result against Wales, so Kiwi’s to …. cough cough splutter, no I can’t say it.
Go the Aussies.

Carlos Spencer (the NZ all black star) once asked my friend out on a date. she turned him down as she was going out with someone else at the time -but that didn’t last, so needless to say she has been kicking herself ever since….!!!
