    i just started a 2nd job and would like to know exactly what travel i can claim, is it something like you can only claim from job A – job B, or every time you go to job B?

    i often drive from the follow sort of format
    from H being home..

    H-A-B-A-H

    and would like to know exaclty what i can claim

    Have a look on the ATO website…www.ato.gov.au and do a search for Motor Vehicle expenses. There are lots of ways to claim, but in your particular instance.

    A-B-A-H I would suspect.

    I’m tipping A-B-A … travelling from work to home and back isn’t deductible, travelling from work to other jobs is… but the final trip home isn’t… I wish it was since I drive 140km a day from home to work and back…

    I remember hearing a dispute years ago about a Qantas Pilot who lived in the country and also had some sort of business at home. He was claiming travel from his home and the airport in Sydney (where he clocked on). his arguement was that he home was also a work place. And I think the ATO allowed it!
