    Hi All,

    I sent this before but it disappears.

    I try to find the best professional package for doctors. CBA offers 0.7% discount on their variable rate.

    Your advice will be most appreciated.

    Hi Huey

    The CBA discount offered to members of the AMA is the best that I know of (actually I though it was 0.75% off – but it may have changed).

    ANZ has a medical package aimed at new doctors where they waive mortgage insurance.

    FYI – 0.70% is the most lenders will generally offer. I have been able to negotiate 0.85% off for clients with $1m in borrowings (with NAB).

    So if you total lending is less than $1m then go with CBA.

    CBA offer the best package to doctors. I put my father onto to the CBA AMA member package and the rate is very competitive. The ANZ is for fresh graduates. Ask your broker for Macquarie, however, they scrutinise the receipts from Medicare and are very aware of the 80 items a day rule and can be real p#$cks about it.

    I assume for this package there is no discount for the honeymoon rate for 1st year and 0.15% discount for fixed rates.
