All Topics / Heads Up! / Ed Burton Seminar
hi everyone,
i regularly receive promo material through the mail from break free events, and in today’s mail there’s information promoting a seminar run by man called ed burton.
i was wondering if anybody has heard anything about him, been to one of his seminars or knows someone that has.
the promo material includes highlights of mr burton’s strategies for purchasing postively geared property, tax and asset protection and off shore investing. it all sounds very interesting! cost of the seminar is $1480, early bird or $1780 normal for 2 full days of coaching.
i look forward to your feedback.

Yeah I’ve been to an event by Ed Burton. It was an introductory seminar for the one that you talked about. His got 200+ Properties and he also got positively geared properties.
He seemed like a genuine guy whos done well for himself and wants to teach people the ropes like Steve.
I guess thats all I can tell you.Cheers

Hi Rie,
One of my friend did course with him. He said it was good. I got his study material from my friend. I think it’s more about tax, assets and off shore investing and overview about the +ve flow property. I think it’s not bad if you don’t know anything about these things but if you have idea how this things works and trying to know how all this will work for you then might not be very good. But this is my opinion from his course material.
Cheers
If anybody is interested in doing a swap of the Ed Burton Seminar material for what I have please email me on:
I have purchased/attended the following:
1. Rick Otton’s Wrap Pack
2. Joe Alts Wrap Your Way to Wealth
3. Dolf De Roos’ Property School
and avrious other wrap seminars etc.As you can see I have spent quiet a bit of money and am willing to do a swap with someone who has Ed Burton’s stuff.
Cheers

I know this is an old thread however since his seminars have come and gone…. at least 6 months ago… just wondering if anyone is currently with him in re: being a Gold or Silver member.
I was a Gold members until recently. I had to drop it (a hard decision to make) due to not being able to afford $280 a month for some CDs…. even tho’ the information I have learnt thanks to those CDs has and will be invaluable.
Wishing everyone radiant health!

Hi Terry
He was walking on to the stage to do a sydney seminar and fell about 20 months ago. He was more worried about the people who came to see him than his back. He refunded all money paid to him for the seminar. His back still gives him a lot of trouble and it probably will never be right.CATA

Actually hope he’s alright now, once your back starts giving you trouble it never seems to fully recover from what i’ve heard from those with problems.
CATA i did a search for Ed BURTONS book at investorIQ etc but didn’t come up with anything?

From what I understand Ed actually hurt his back before, not at the Seminar. He is going OK, but at this stage it is unlikely that he will be doing any seminar in the near future.Gonzo1
(Uwe@) Property FriendsEd was our accountant when my husband ran his own business. He is a really down to earth guy. I attended one of his seminars in Sydney & found it really useful & set me off on the positive cashflow property trail. His criteria is not quite as stringent as Steves, as he depends on tax deductions to go positive, however has good tips on capital growth areas & off shore investing/self managed super, if you are interested in these topics.
Bit like Margaret Lomas then in his + Gearing??

is an old post re. Ed Burton seminar in 2003, have you guys seen it ?
HI
There is a set on ebay from one of Eds Seminars http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8332291171&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 I have listened to it and I thought it was excellent. As to wether it is expensive, I think Ed knows what he is talking about and a couple of visits to an accountant or try to rejik a portfolio and see how much stamp duty etc. costs and you might think the information is very cheap
