I’m looking for advice from people who have set up a similar structure ie, the mechanics and day to day operation of the three entities.
Any information on how all this fits together is appreciated.

    Try this web site:

    http://www.taxpayer.com.au

and take the super link. Barbara Smith heads the team there, she’s written a few books about DIY super and such, all good.

For information here, just do a search using “trust” as a key word.

    Also, try:

http://www.patricia.com.au for trust deeds and P/L set ups ($300 and $1,000 respectively).

You can save a little if you want to set up the P/L yourself, straight through ASIC, for about $730, if I remember correctly.

Allow $1,000pa for auditing of the fund, plus $200+pa for P/L ASIC return, and $600 or so for a P/L tax return. Costs depends on accountant.

Anyway, the manuals produced by http://www.taxpayer.com.au are for Australian funds with quarterly updates, etd. Very good value for money.
