    Does anyone on this forum have experience with purchasing properties in NZ whilst living in Australia and being an Aussie citizen?

    No stamp duty, no capital gains tax, very appealing,

    please advise

    Welcome to the forum.
    As regards to to your question have a search through NZ Suburbs.(use the search button further up the page) There you will find a number of forumites who have purchased property in NZ. Check for appropriate email addresses.

    I have been lucky and privileged enough to have met and hosted four of them and talked to a fifth on the phone in the last two weeks.

    muppet is right the NZ Suburbs thread is awesome!

    My wife and I live in Melbourne but are kiwi’s – we buy IP in NZ without looking at the property ourselves. We have a great team in NZ. To answer your question about Aussies who are not resident in NZ buying IP – there is no problem from my understanding. You can even get NZ loans.
