All Topics / The Treasure Chest / NZ solicitors and Fee simple?
Hi.
I am just about to sign an offer on a property in NZ.
I was wondering if anyone had experience in buying property in NZ and know a solicitor over there that they recommend??Also can someone tell me what fee simple means?? Is that the same as Freehold title over here??
Cheers

Hello !
An estate in fee simple is the interest in land, which gives the owner the greatest rights of enjoyment and use and the fullest power of alienation. See also freehold land.
Here is an article on my site about land structures in NZ – contributed by some lawyers who deal in property.
