    I’m about to buy a property back in Christchurch where I come from. I now live on the Gold coast, have done for 7yrs now. I thought I had made the discovery of a life time only to be inform via this forum that I will have to pay CGT because I now live here. Can any one suggest a way around this because it really sucks. The main attraction to investing back in NZ was the no CGT issue.

    It may help…I have accountants, trust lawyers and real-estate agents who contribute articles on my site. Most of them do not mind an email or two asking about issues.
