Any one have exp. in Rockhapton Area?

I have been looking at the Rockhampton area. Most Houses meet the 11 sec solution. Except for Gracemere which looks like is the top end of the market with fairly new brick veneer homes.
Does anyone have any experience with investing in rockhampton? What is the vacancy rate?

If you do a search on Rockhampton you’ll find a lot of previous discussion. There’s still some good deals up there, although not many that meet the 11 sec solution… most have gone…

Hi VPA,
I have purchased a few properties in Rockhampton in the last week that do meet the 11 sec rule. There are not many left and the properties that do have more than a 10.4% yeild don’t get advertised.
In regards to vacancy rates it is getting harder for property managers to find tennants and many landlords and dropping their rent to fill their properties.

We have wrapped over 20 properties in Rockhampton and now have a full time agent in the town working for us. Gracemere has a post code of 4702 and can be a problem with certain financiers or rather their MI’s.
There are better areas which meet the 11 second rule however depends if you are buying to wrap or buying to hold & keep.
