Late 40ish, think like a 25 year old. Owned PPOR 20 years ago and wondered what to do next! Wish we had the benefit of hindsight. Realised that pension may not exist for those of us born after late 50s and listened to parents having difficult time on pension. Bought first IP 6 years ago and have bought and traded some more since then. Our sons, (10 and 12), want to buy their first IP now with their paper round and pocket money!

Hi Everyone ,
In my mid 30’s bought my PPOR in 97 and looking to buy 1st IP in the next few months . Hoping it will be the 1st of many .[][]

Hey All,
Well I was 26 two days ago. But Lucky me turned 27 yesterday. Apparently I look like hell in the morning. (I can just imagine her reaction if I ever said that to her)
We have no IP’s, but we are saving for our PPOR. Can’t wait.

Hi Guys! I’m 24.. got my first IP when I was 20~21 with help from my parents[]… since then, have acquired a 8 more really, really cheap IP’s (although they are not as cheap anymore []) I wish I bought more last year! Still living with my parents so saving lots of money[]

Greetings Victoria,
I am 38, my first Investment was when I was 6 years old. I made lemonade from mum’s tree, this I enjoyed very much. I would then sell what I made & watch people enjoy my makings.. []
What I truly learnt from this experience is that it’s important to enjoy what you do.
Later at 15, I bought property ( vacant land ).
At 18 it became an IP, now some 20 years ( & multiple properties later ) I still feel like I am 6 years old. [:0)] ” here endth the lesson “[]

Hi vik_fam,
I am 23, and my husband is 26. We bought our first IP last year courtesy of Mr Howard’s $7000. I say go for it as young as you can – why wait till you’re 60+ to retire?
If you are even looking at investing at your age, you should be congratulated. There aren’t many friends of ours who even know what negative gearing is, let alone positive gearing & positive cashflow!
All I would suggest is to get older, wiser people around you, but make sure they have similar goals to yours. All the best! []

i am 34 years old and along with my husband, bought our PPOR 6 years ago. we have since purchased 2 ip’s and we are actively searching for another two by the end of the year.
