Hi, I would love to know if buying a serviced arpartment is a good investment or not? What shall I look for? Some people say they are great and some say to keep away from them. I think there pretty good by the way they are leased out by a hotel but I was talking to a realestate agent and he told me they are under Commercial and residential zone. I also had a discussion with a lawyer who told me becareful because once the lease is over being residential might only mean you can only lease it out to tenants but cannot live in it. I don’t know who is right or wrong. Could someone please help??

at http://www.prosolution.com.auYou should also check with your bank regarding how much LVR they’re prepared to lend. I’ve been told that many banks are reluctant to lend more than 70%, because serviced apartments are harder to sell.
Even if they turn out to be good cashflwo, they may be very hard to onsell.
