All Topics / The Treasure Chest / Home Inspection Franchises
Hi, a topic a little off track. I enquired about the master franchise rights for an American home inspection franchise “Pillar to Post” to bring to New Zealand a few years ago, but never really followed up on the idea. I actually think they are coming this way soon. Anyway, I realise that there are already builders who complete home inspections, via local councils, but these are usually done during the building process. Other basic reports, such as LIM reports etc, can be accessed easily. Since this industry is huge in the USA, does anyone think there is potential for a franchised home inspection service in NZ, if there isnt one already? I guess, particularly in NZ, with shonky building practices and use of poor materials, it could be more viable. Also, there was once talk of banks requiring inspection reports as a prereq for a loan. Could this happen?
Any input into this matter would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Curtis
