Would anyone know where I can find a list of CREDIBLE valuers the banks use. I tried approaching the banks but they say ‘that info they cant provide for you’. ‘B******!’ []
I need to do a valuation on a property I just bought. According to my Due dilligence it is a steal but i just need to be sure.
I need a list of valuers that specialise in the north eastern areas in melbourne, such as Heidelberg, Ivanhoe, Rosanna, Bundoora , Preston etc.
we need to know which lender you are going to use then it makes it easier to supply the valuers you can choose from or in reverse pick a valuer and ask him which Bank panel he is on.

Currently thinking of using the NAB, CBA, Rams, Aussie Homeloans. I got pre-approval from the CBA but I think I can get a better deal somewhere else as I dont think I have exhausted all options yet.
I’m also thinking of using a Mortgage Broker so I’m still undecided which lender I will choose for settlement.
Banks use different valuers (for example ANZ use Charter Keck Cramer in Heidelberg).
Most banks use external valuers.

Depending on the products you’re looking at I think there are some better deals out there. Be careful RAMS, Aussie, CBA (and NAB at times) can charge break fees (RAMS are the worst). It might be worth checking out a broker.
Fullout – yes, normally the cost of one valuation is included in a lenders application fee.
The Australian Property Institute publishes a list of Certified Valuers in NSW and lists their ‘standing’ in the institute eg fellow, associate, etc. I got a copy of the NSW book at the recent Property Expo, and I’m sure there’s one for Victoria available as well.
While it doesn’t specifically list valuers that the banks use, the valuers who are recognised by the Institute have to follow a strict code of conduct. Try calling the institute for a copy in Victoria.
