    I’d just like to draw your attention to two new articles that I have made available in the articles section of PropertyInvesting.Com

    Both articles relate to the recent quarter of a percent interest rate rise

    Article One: RBA Govenor’s Speech

    I have posted a transcript of the Ian Ian Macfarlane – Governor Reserve Bank of Australia – speech to House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics, Finance and Public Administration.

    In it he outlines the RBA’s stance on interest rates and also the likely i/rate environment in the near future. This is essential reading for all property investors!

    Article Two: Article re: rate rise

    This is the article that appeared in the Herald Sun newspaper the following day after the speech. Note the element of panic in the article and the theme that the good times have ended.

    When you read the two articles together you should be able to identify the bias and unseen interpretation introduced by the reporter, which again stresses the importance of distinguishing fact from opinion.
