In the strictest meaning of property rights in Australia (which is derived from English sources) the term real estate is actually derived from the Spanish meaning for 'royal', not 'physical' in the modern

I am not interested in purchasing the property as I am aware of the flood issue. We do have IP's in the area and know the house and the flood path.

Some good tips but I don't fully agree with point Number 1 or 2. Usually companies that charge other costings apart from commission will have a lower commission price, so can provide a cheaper service overall. They also usually have better advertising, whether that be larger adds in the local paper or priority listings on realestate.com.au

I currently reside in Dysart and there is money to be made. Will try to keep it short as there is so much info. @ my post. Dysart is surrounded by some other mines though predominantly accomodates BHP employees (not contractors). There is also a smaller mining camp which services Thiess Lake Vermont mine.
