    Thanks guys.

Have to be honest, i lost my sleep for couple of nights and something is definitely wrong with my stomach (lol). As for the guys, manager is telling me they are maintenance free, paying rent on time, they fix little things themselves (after all they are guys), little mess didn’t stop me. After all, hopefully they will find a good woman one day. [biggrin]. Bit of a humour to cheer myself up.Thanks Simon & Jarrod.

Thanks for starting this topic. I have two jobs for couple of years now, and i was never so concerned about taxes and stuff, (maybe i should), reason is that every $ earned i put back into renovations and adding value to my home.Yes i had very little or not free time at all but i was able to do things that i wanted to do. Having second job would prevent you from borowing from bank to do your renovations, really depends what your goals are and how desperate you are to achieve them. After all you dont have to keep second job forever. Good luck.

    Hi there

Thanks for the reply on the other post.
I will tell you my story with my “other half”. Here it goes. My “other half” is not ambitious at all. He believes in basics, have a home, food on the table and being able to pay bills.”ONE day when we pay house off ” we will buy investment property. Problem is, you have to do your own thing, do your research and make your “other half” to see what you see that is the only way (in my case), but everybody is different. Can be lonely sometimes thinking that you are the only one in the game, but perserverance is the key. You have to be the one who is going to do learning part and educating part of course, but i guess it has to be YOU who is going to do that part. My husband is “bird in a hand”, but with a lot of patience, lots of convincing we are finally on the right track. What they really need is a little wind in the back, after all, it takes two to tango. Taking risks is never easy…Good luck, just patience and good will, everything else will fall in place.

    Hello again

Thank you all for such great imput.
I guess the best way of learning is by DOING IT. Sometimes we have to make mistakes in order to find the answers. I just hope that all this is going to be good experience, but i have to tell you i cant hardly wait. I was in denial thinking that i want to become a Real Estate agent, but i discovered that really what i want is to become a investor, big difference. Logan, Woodridge…here i come. Cheers.

    Thanks for reply SeeChange

I have preference in houses as well, because i think that body corp is waste of money. Question about houses without tenants, how good idea really is to buy a house without a tenant, and how quickly house can be rented out in those areas?
Agents that i called today are giving me those “beautifuly painted pictures” but i would like to know what the reality is?
    Appreciate your advice and experience.
    Cheers.

Like others i have troubles finding property’s that have positive cashflow. For now i will keep looking and keep my options open.I know equity is going to help but it is just a matter of “taking a plunge” i guess. I know one thing for sure i really want to do something soon.
Anybody knows where is good idea to look on the Gold Coast??[blush2]
