MikeWe run deals past him to make sure we haven’t overlooked something or excluded something in the calculations.
We Discuss new ideas, new projects, different business strategies etc. I think it’s important to have someone looking at something you want to do, he brings in ideas or has opinions that we haven’t thought about. He is not always right, but he does offer something to think about!
I’m the type of person that likes to bounce ideas off other people for a second opinion before I go ahead with it, it has kept me out of trouble on many occassions.
He does NOT tell us what to do! Ie buy a property here or buy these shares etc, advisors like that dont help you prosper, they keep you poor!

it was all just basic investing strategies, no different to what steve mcknight teaches really!common knowledge for most of us, however, if I was given this info as a begining investor years ago and implemented the strategies (as I do now), I would have absolutely made some money on it!

The case is doing it’s best to bring out the “victims” in people who knew full well what the price of the seminar was and agreed to pay it.
I personally know people who have gone to a Henry Kaye seminar and are now using the knowledge and ideas to make bucket loads of money. One guy I know is now running his own development company in Adelaide. This all started with Henry Kaye!
This guy is successfull because he took responsibility and does not have a victim attitute.
It would be interesting to see in 10 years, the difference between people that jumped on the band wagon and asked for money back, VS those who went along paid some money for the seminar and then moved on with their own lives instead of blaming others.
I would love to look at a profile of wealth between these two types of people and see which one fares better in the long run!attitute is everything!

I have lived in Canada for 3 years and have travelled everywhere for conferences when I was working as a researcher! In every instance, I could wait to get home to Australa, we have it made here!We now have another reason to celebrate Australia day, our little girl was born on 26th January 2004. He did some research into building material and found a material called hebel (to be used INTEAD of bricks), it is much cheaper and the buiding can be up sooner reducing holding costs also.
It was acceptable to council regulations as a suitable sound proofing material. As Ange suggested, you may want to look into this further!
Jen, maybe you could use it to sound proof cars too! [biggrin]
I find turning up the stero works well and

Not trying to scare you but to be realistic,Yes you CAN loose in property. I’ve done it! [biggrin], I have lost money in the past by making the wrong descisions in property.
The key thing is education and strategy!
what are you buying for, cash flow/ appreciation/ manufactured equity etc, you need to know this before you buy!
Why the Northern suburbs of Adelaide?
If you forgo the FHOG, you will get rent from the property (as opposed to living in it), you need to calculate which is more!
I chose NOT to recieve a FHOG when I bought my first property!
