Depends on the investor, and their reality

Even in the midst of the worst depression, smart investors can make the biggest returns. From an entrepreneurial perspective, the bigger the problem, the bigger the solution needed, therefore the bigger the payoff. There are still such big problems with real estate in australia today, with some of the highest prices, the highest costs of living and the highest tax rates, combined with some of the highest corruption of politicians in taking away our rights and freedoms in a very consistent manner

Im looking into innovative solutions to some of these problems, because I dislike much of the status quo in real estate and how it benefits unaustralian interests

A smart investor looks at the evidence presented and surely can see something smells fishy with the phony worldwide financial system, and the liability being transferred from banking and finance to governments. Political agendas of control, that are just now being fulfilled dont just magically go away, and I am afraid for the majority it will be a very harsh and rude wake up.

Its always good to be informed on the big picture not just the hype. Isnt there something along the lines of 'do the opposite of the masses' as good advice? I am always extremely wary of what is being hyped in the media and by big interests, and I find its consistently against my health and wellbeing

    Regards

    Pete

An option if you have enough of an investments income is to relocate to a tax haven

Many do not ask for tax on offshore income, so essentially you can have tax free investment income

Then you can come back to Australia for up to 180 days out of the year, so really you have the best of both worlds :)

Obviously you would need enough income, but the great thing about this is that there are many tax haven countries that have a low cost of living , but still have a decent lifestyle and amenities, so you could save up more taking this option than just living here :)

Obviously there are many things involved but all up I think the advantages outweigh the work involved

I would check this option out soon as some tax haven countries have special citizenship programs if you can demonstrate enough income, but demand is going up for these…..

    Thanks dazzling

I couldnt agree more with getting out there and hitting the pavement. I learnt more from that one transaction than I could from reading 10 top-notch real estate books.

One awesome quote that is my favourite is that
” You dont have to get it right, you just have to get it going. “

Isnt it a nice reminder that we dont need things to be perfect before we take action ? :)

Funny you mentioned boxes on dirt, because Im looking at ways to build ” cheap boxes ” on dirt that are rentable, to make building positve cashflow, so far ive seen some interesting methods including strawbale houses, log homes, and other alternative materials. Of course the labour is the killer but with some smart moves Im sure you could save a huge amount ( since builders have like a 40% profit margin apparently! )

I did lose my FHOG but i thought that i might as well use it, since it prob wont be around forever

There must be so many towns out there that have good properties that are missed on the normal real estate websites etc. I will have to get a good way to research

    Cheers

The towns i am looking at have a population of 2000, so I am not sure

But some of the returns in these towns are so good i am tempted
