Yes this board is very addictive callum![:D]. If you had 130 properties +ve cashflow you would not need to work so you could spend your time looking after them. Not all of your time though, of course, because you would be missing the idea of financial freedom. I guess along with making a plan to aquire 130 properties would be the need for a plan to maintain them. Im havent read Steve’s wealth protector but I guess something about this would be in there??

I think that it is a great idea. Like you mentioned it seems investors are very hush hush about deals even if they are not interested in the deal. Its a great idea that could help many people that are new to investing, like me. Congratulations Sooshie on a great idea.

This is just a thought and correct me if i am worng but isnt looking over a 350 year period a little extravagant considering the average person only lives for about 80 years?? That means approximately 60 years trading if you do it all the way to your death. Whats the point in being able to say in 350 years time I made a 13% profit? Im new to this so please dont hesitate to correct me!

From what I remember there is a lot about yourself involved in the week long course. Sounds like you get about 4 hrs of sleep a night with tai chi and masuers etc to help you through the week. Also some sort of volleyball championship where you all put in 1K and play off for the loot at the end of the week. Is this about right John? Still thats a lot of money for 1 week of health camp….

Thanks guys, for all the input! I leaning towards bensons advice. Maybe if he has them in the future it would be an option once I am well on the way to being financially independent. But for now I have plenty to read…

Be careful with mining towns! Comming from an industry that deals with mining I must warn you that a population can increase and decrease rapidly! If the mine is doing extensive extensions and refurbishment then the population booms for a few months but dies quite quickly once it is over. One such example is a town where you cannot get accomodation at present because of a extension but will die down quickly as soon as the work is completed. Be sure to look into it further.

Have to agree with K there. My brother built a house up there last year and the offers he is gettting have almost doubled what he spent on it. Awesome place to live though doubt it will ever slow down!

I have 0 currently. I am only 22 but hearing of how other people have amassed many IP’s in a few years gives me much motivation. Looking at getting an IP within a year or two to begin my journey to financial independance[:)]

Whether or not RK is telling the truth or fibs in his books, I have found it great motivation. It certaintly got me into thinking about investment, as with many other people I have talked to about the book. Like the film ‘the Matrix’ it opens possibilities within ones own thinking. I once thought get a good job work till I was 65 and retire. Now I plan to retire a lot earlier than that!
